Joan Smith shares her years as a self described steamroller at Red Rocks Community College, working 18 hour days, hitting every goal, and slowly realizing she was chasing good people away instead of bringing them with her. Peter LiFari traces his path from nearly losing his family home in third grade, through a decade in national security, to housing work in Denver, and explains why he treats humility and buy in as daily practice rather than a slogan. Along the way they break down what affordable housing actually means, how low income housing tax credits make projects work, and what a board member and an executive director owe each other.
