Transformation Happens by Shifting Gears with Michael Lopez

Greg talks with coach and speaker Michael Lopez about change versus transformation, and why shifting gears beats chasing top end speed.
Michael uses a Formula One analogy to make the distinction concrete: every car has a top end speed, but you only reach it if you can shift cleanly from first to second to third, turn after turn, and recover when you make a mistake. That is why he asks leaders and companies to focus on the behaviors, habits and systems they can practice daily instead of the finish line. Greg adds his own version of this, asking clients not what they want to change but what shifts they will make.
They also get into the growth mindset, stress properly applied as the trigger for growth, and why it is often easier to act your way into believing than to believe your way into acting. Michael explains why picking one next best goal beats stacking ten resolutions, and Greg shares his idea of heading Northeast. Michael is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance Leadership Council and still coaches youth and high school football.
