Stephanie Atiase on Young Women Rising as Leaders in Business | Episode 23

Stephanie Atiase traces her path from Austin, Texas to USC, Ernst & Young, Harvard Business School and years of consulting across consumer, technology and retail work in India and London, before moving into hospitality at Hilton and then IHG. She now carries global responsibility for the Holiday Inn Express brand and its 3,000 plus hotels, and she talks with Greg Aden about what makes a strong team culture: authenticity, collaboration and real alignment on goals. She also names the three qualities she looks for in a leader, genuinely caring about your team, being effective in your role, and appreciating the people who make your success possible. For women and for young leaders, her advice is practical: be authentically yourself, speak plainly to your accomplishments because it is not bragging if it is facts, enjoy the phase you are in, and do not be afraid to try something new.
