Chad Jamison on Leading Change in Rwanda with River's Promise

Chad Jamison, co-founder and producer of the Truth Talks Podcast, talks with Greg Aden about filming a mini documentary in Rwanda and leading change without a title.

Chad traveled to Rwanda in March to follow River Lakey, who was abandoned hours after birth, adopted out of a Kigali orphanage at age three, and returned at 18 to see the country and people who shaped his story. Chad describes villages where families live under banana trees and walk miles for clean water, and still greet strangers with singing, dancing and genuine thanks. He also shares the forgiveness he witnessed less than 30 years after the 1994 genocide, and how it moved him to repair a broken relationship with a close family member when he got home.

Greg and Chad get practical about leadership outside the boardroom, sponsoring a child for 45 dollars a month, breaking cycles instead of making excuses, and why consistent small acts matter more than one large check. River's Promise is building a school so children can get an education and climb out of poverty.
