Reflections of Your Gratitude…

As we approach the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday may I ask, where is your focus?  Are you in action mode of planning for a big day of food and festivities or working on last-minute details of packing and travel to a special event?

Let’s look at the true meaning of what we celebrate as the day of giving thanks and begin to reflect on the people we share this wonderful day with.

As you look back on this past year, who are you thankful for in your life?  Let’s take a moment and reflect on the individuals that have made a difference in your life and help to make you who you are today.  Leaders, co-workers, parents, siblings, significant others, friends and children all influence our lives.  How are you acknowledging these individuals for their contributions?

As we reflect on our relationships, let’s take a moment and reach out to let those individuals know that you are thankful for them in your life and your universe.  Yes, be courageous and share your appreciation of their impact on your world.

It may be as you sit around the table Thursday or the weekend that awakens you to share gratitude and thankfulness with others.  I encourage you as you pass the pumpkin pie also share some humble pie and share your heart felt thoughts with others.  As time strikes, I invite you to be the one to lead, set the example of showing your appreciation for the people who are seated at your table. For those who may not be present, let them know that they are not forgotten on this day of thanksgiving.

Imagine how rich your relationships will be with just a little spice of appreciation, gratitude and thankfulness.

Have fun letting others know you recognize them.

In service,

Greg
