Perseverance….does Your Focus Turn Into Commitment? Sometimes we must carry those we lead on our shoulders

What does having perseverance mean in your organization?

So often when we face obstacles and challenges we lose focus of our goals and vision.

Looking at the true definition of perseverance – steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

Expectations today are instant results for all efforts.   A Leader’s view of perseverance will be reflected in how we communicate with those we lead.  Being authentic, recognizing and speaking up when the challenges faced in our daily operations impact the bottom line, the vision of the organization.

The challenges we face in serving our teams is identifying when they may feel overwhelmed and are lacking the ability to stick to the plan in-spite of the difficulty.  Are we noticing the signs?

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

The second aspect of the situations that we face as a Leader are what if?

What if we quit?

What if we stop pursuing our goals?

What if we do not stick to the plan of our vision?

The consequences for our own actions and those of our organization rest on our shoulders.  There are times we must carry those we lead on our shoulders.

I know from my own experience that leading with your true authentic self will place the greatest impact on your business.  Keeping your heart open for courageous communication can create powerful possibilities.  My greatest success is following my own path, even if the road is not easy or heavily traveled by others.

Yes, I have quit.  I have given up and I learn from those experiences.  I ask you to do the same.  I also ask for you to be an example of perseverance for where it really matters in your life and the lives of others.

You can literally shift the course of your company, the lives of those you lead by being your courageous self.

The last thought I wanted to share with you is…

What if it could be easy?

I encourage you to explore the path that lies ahead of you with an open heart, an open mind.
